Mission:
Big Picture Learning has an app for 9-12 grade students to find internships called ImBlaze. The app allows students to search for internships that they might be interested in using an online portal and mobile apps (iOS and Android).
Salesforce Products:
- Agentforce
- Data Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Sales Cloud
CHALLENGES:
Search Was Too Literal: BPL’s 15,000 student population didn’t know how to effectively use the keyword search to find internships that matched their interests
School Internship Opportunity data was poor: School administrators often didn’t have good data on their internships, so data quality was poor
Students didn’t know what internships types existed: Students couldn’t search for internships types they didn’t know existed, so found the experience frustrating
Internship Opportunity data was often small. Each school had limited resources to find and enter internship opportunities.
SOLUTION:
Semantic Search using Data Cloud
Students are now able to search based on their interest (e.g. “animals”) and the system infers their interest and returns relevant internship opportunities (e.g. “vet tech”, “animal shelter”, “zoos”).
Agentic Web Search
Students can initiate an Agent that searches the web for internship opportunities relevant to their interest. The Agent finds relevant companies, uses Hunter.io to find the right contact at that organization to connect to, and returns the result as a full internship opportunity, that administrators have the option to add to the internship pool.
Agentic Data Enrichment
Administrators can now initiate an Agent that searches the web and enriches the current internship opportunity with relevant data from the web.
